Sunday is a day at home.

The title is not to communicate that I slept in until 1 pm again. I went to a Lutheran church today. Worship here is called Gottdienst – or God present. Interesting that the title for Sunday has the name of God in it – novel. Maybe we should think about this for ourselves?
Anyway, going to church was a wonderful time. First, I was able to understand more than I thought. Second, they recited the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, so I could say that in English while they said it in German. Finally, the people were very kind, and they served the best cup of coffee…by the way, it is fair-trade. I was happy to say that my church also serves fair-trade!
Church is truly where one can find home. So far from home, yet God is here – in nature, in people, in liturgy. I am thankful for this.
